Studio Gola Papa is a full service architecture and design practice founded by Jason Papa and Julianne Gola-Papa.

We create environments that respond to the needs of their inhabitants in a meaningful way and enrich daily life.

From conceptual design to project management, we look for artful, intelligent and sustainable solutions that resonate with their context and the human scale.

We’ve collaborated with clients in coastal and northern New Jersey, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hudson Valley, Pennsylvania, central and coastal North Carolina, and Washington DC metro area. Our projects are a reflection of each of our client’s unique sensibility and lifestyle.

  • Co-Founder

    Julianne Gola-Papa is a designer and educator. She received her M.Arch from Princeton University and her B.S. in Architecture from the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati. She has taught at Princeton University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).

    Before co-founding Studio Gola Papa, she was part of the team at several international design practices including Bjarke Ingels Group, the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, and WORKac. As part of Columbia University’s Lab for Architectural Broadcasting, she was the managing editor of Volume 24: Counterculture and a contributor to Al Manakh 2 published by Archis as well as World of Giving published by Lars Muller. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Rotterdam, and Marfa, TX.


  • Co-Founder

    Jason Papa, AIA received his B.S. and M.Arch in Architecture from the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati. He has over 12 years of experience in residential architecture in the New York area.

    Before co-founding Studio Gola Papa, Jason served as Studio Director at Grade New York. He spent his junior years with Anderson Architects and Kohn Pederson Fox.
